In some cases your land has shifted over time causing your post to adjust to the deck. Having us come take a look for any deterioration or shifting may be just what is needed to adjust the feeling of your deck. 

Decking boards from 15 years ago are probably shifting as you walk on them. Consider replacing those boards with the same material or upgrade to composite. Either way after the replacement is completed your deck floor should feel more comfortable to be on again. 

Another treat for your deck to revitalize it, is a good coat of stain and seal. In some cases sanding down may be necessary to achieve a uniformed look as a power wash just isn't always a better option.
